Strike 2

So you see the red "face", is not only the face are red, the body too. Do you really see it is wearing a shirt!

What you see in the avatar is a scan image, has been resized to 50x50 pixels.

Reason i use as a avatar b'cause it look cute, and its name is redbear.

Is a doll.

Hi , thanks for your comment on my Aya & Maya scan.

Hi JosephS. I'm new here as well (as you well know, since I'm your friend), and simply wanted to drop you a line to thank you for recommending this site to me. Thanks :D

Have you noticed how some of the smileys here strongly resemble GIR's face (GIR from Invader Zim, that is...)?

You cannot post wallpapers you didn't do .....

Quote by JosephSPreston I just wanted to say that I'm taking your advise to heart. Plus, I've dropped off a couple of scans from my manga collection. I hope you got some good rest and had a nice Sunday.

Well, its definately nice to know that you think my advise is worthy enough to follow. Its certainly worked well for me so far. Anyway, I checked out your scan that you have uploaded, and I must say it is quite cute.... I love the girl's hair (now why can't mine do that?)

Quote by JosephSPrestonOf all the pictures here, this one is my favorite. It's very classy and has a great 1920's feel...a subdued opulence, if you will. Nice. :)

This scan that you commented on it by my favorite manga novelist.... I can't exactly quote her name off the top of my head, but she wrote the most adorable love story, Mars.

Quote by JosephSPreston So here's a question for you--right now all I've basically done around here is glanced at a few of the galleries and droped off a stray comment or two--so my questions is, what would you advise I check out? Down what avenues should I peruse?

Hmmm.... unless you are an artist who is longing for some meaningful and criticical critiques, I would not suggest persuing graphic design, though it can be quite fun. My best advice would be to socialize in the forum and expand your friend list. I greatly enjoy creating artwork, but tend to make it for myself because frankly, Minitokyo is a tough critic that craves flashy and complex creations that really aren't my style. I am personally here to talk, meet new people from all over, and have fun. On an average day, I greet newbies, offering help, critique the artwork of others, and post in interesting forum topics all of which can be very time consuming.

Oh! There is also some new features that I haven't really toyed (hmmm.... don't believe that is spelled correctly) with yet. Minitokyo now has reviews, where you can critique anime, which might be right up your avenue! Also there is new thing called "groups" (rather simple name, don't you think?) that you can join.... I suggest you check them out - its a nice way to meet people!

Well, it looks like I am beginning to dominate your guestbook especially now that I am adding this rather long post, so I will leave you now to go get some sleep... have to be up bright and early! (oh joy =_=)

Quote by JosephSPrestonIs that a wistful look in her eyes? I wonder who she's thinking of, or of what past time she's fondly recalling. Maybe it's the kimono, or the folding screen.....something about the traditional elements that evoke nastalgia. Or, more succinctly, nice scan. :)

Thanks for your comment on my Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi OST scan.

Quote by JosephSPrestonGood start. eh? That's encouraging, I've no real basis for comparison,
but your reply is heartening. By the way (yeah, you'll find I like to
spell things out) Your Member page is beautiful, you have a great since
of style and it showcases your hobby nicely. :)

Well, I talk to a lot of "newbies" and some of them have little class and post unmeaningful comments.... in contrast you have proven to be quite different from them! Anyway, thanks for the compliment on my page... it took quite a bit of work to get the page just the way I wanted it!

Quote by JosephSPrestonHi! Thanks for the warm welcome. This place is vast! How long has it
been up? I guess I'll surf around until I lose that "noob" smell.

Well, it seems like you have a good start..... already on level 2!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I just stumbled over this place and it's really cool. How long has this place been up? I'll just surf around till I lose that newbe smeel; there's just so much to look at. Ciao.
